This one day course will expand your knowledge of the day-to-day uses of Excel. This course has no formal prerequisite, but a basic knowledge of Excel is required. It is suitable for anyone who uses Excel on a regular basis.

  • Formatting, including custom number formats & conditional formatting
  • Formulae & Functions, including the use of “$”, basic functions including SUM(), ROUND(), IF(), and functions for manipulating dates and times
  • Named cells and blocks of cells: creation and uses
  • Data validation
  • Data tables (one of the “what-if analysis” tools)
  • Protection of cells and worksheets

Additionally, a number of useful shortcut keys will be introduced over the course of the day.
