Do the units need to be taken in any particular order?
You can study units in any order, but we would advise that you complete the Advanced Bookkeeping (AVBK) unit before studying for Final Accounts Preparation (FAPR). The synoptic assessment can only be taken once you have completed all other units.
Do I get any exemptions?
If you have worked in accounts for some time or have relevant accountancy qualifications, you may be exempt from some units. You may also have exemptions if you have completed the AAT Bookkeeping Short Qualification
Is funding available to help me study AAT?
Yes. Kaplan offer an interest-free payment plan so you can spread the cost of your studies. You could also apply to study via an Apprenticeship. Terms & conditions apply.
How do I book my exam?
Book an exam when you're ready. You will need to provide the following: AAT ID number, date of birth and payment. You can pay by card, PayPal or we can invoice your employer. If you're not sure when to sit your exam, our timetables suggest recommended exam dates.
Are the AAT registration fees included in the course price?
No, you need to register with AAT directly.
How long does it take to complete the Advanced Diploma?
On average, most students complete the Advanced Diploma within 12 months.
I’m currently studying with another provider? Can I switch to Kaplan?
