ILM Management Qualifications with Kaplan Open Learning
Our sister company, Kaplan Open Learning, has partnered with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to offer students the opportunity to study for a professional management qualification which is delivered entirely online.
The Institute of Leadership and Management is the UK's largest awarding body for Leadership and Management qualifications. ILM offers a broad and flexible portfolio of qualifications that delivers key skills where they are needed most – directly in the workplace.
ILM Courses
The following online ILM courses are available:
ILM Level 5 Award in Management
This qualification has been specially designed to give practising or aspiring middle managers a solid foundation in their formal development. Analyse management decision-making and behaviour in the workplace to understand how you can develop and progress your own skills in management.
ILM Level 5 Certificate in Management
The Certificate in Management builds on the leadership and management skills gained in the Award through a choice of additional units covering a variety of leadership and management topics.
ILM Level 5 Diploma in Management
The Diploma in Management develops a comprehensive range of middle management skills, assisting learners in gaining the knowledge required at this level. The qualification builds on the Award and Certificate in Management, and is suited to the practising manager.
How online study works
Kaplan Open Learning offer tutor-led online professional qualifications that closely replicate a traditional classroom environment. Online study gives students a far greater choice of how, when and where to study.
Tutors lead the class by delivering online seminars, posting lessons and setting assignments as well as answering questions, marking assignments and interacting with students entirely online.
Students receive textbooks, have access to online libraries and submit their assignments electronically and can view their progress and achievements online. There is never any need to attend classroom based classes in person.

Tuition fees
When studying Level 5 ILM qualifications in Management with Kaplan Open Learning, all students are enrolled onto the Level 5 Award in Management first at a total cost of £500 (including VAT and registration). Students can then continue their studies by topping up to the Certificate and then the Diploma according to the table below:

*If fees for all three qualifications are paid up front, a 10% discount is applied, reducing the total fee for the Award, Certificate and Diploma to £1,710.
**Postage to a UK address is included in the course fee. We charge a one-off fee for postage and packaging of £30 for EU countries and £50 for all other countries.
