How do I register as an international student?

Answer.
Complete the Kaplan Financial enrolment form for your relevant course / qualification and post to the address stated on the enrolment form. Should you wish to enrol on our ACCA course you may also enrol on-line. The enrolment form should be sent with the accompanying payment to the appropriate centre.

You may register with Kaplan Financial either before or after registering with the relevant examination body. If applying for a degree programme (MBA or BAAF) there is no requirement for fee payment until a conditional offer letter has been received by the student.

What are the visa requirements for overseas students?

Answer.
In order to study in the UK, students must apply for a Student Visa with the British High Commission in their home country. Student VISA will be granted to students studying on a recognised full time course which means 15 or above hours of study per week.

How does Kaplan help me obtain my Student VISA?

Answer
Once we have received your enrolment and payment we will issue all the relevant visa compliant letters for you to use.

Please note: Your letters will state the duration that you have booked for, therefore, we strongly recommend that you book on the entire course. This has two advantages:

  1. The fees will remain fixed throughout your studies.
  2. You are more likely to obtain the visa for the duration of the course saving you renewal cost and the inconvenience of renewing the student visa in the UK.

How long does it take for an application to be processed and when can I get the letters?

Answer
Having received your completed enrolment form and accompanying payment, your enrolment will be processed within 5 working days and letters dispatched straight away. Letters will be dispatched via regular post or upon request via courier, please contact your centre for courier charges.

Do I have to register with a Governing Body?

Answer
For most Professional qualifications (see list below) you do. It is your responsibility to complete the registration process with the relevant examination body. Visit the relevant governing body website to find out how to register, their fees and deadlines. It is important that you register within the deadlines to be able to sit your exams.

  • ACCA
  • CAT
  • CFA

For degree programs (MBA or BAAF) Kaplan will complete registration with the awarding body on your behalf.

What is the refund policy?

Answer

If a student application has been refused, the fees paid will be refunded less an administration charge of £100 (plus any courier and transfer charges) on production of certain documents, see enrolment form for full details. Applications for refunds under this section must be made in writing no later than 4 weeks after the published commencement date on the timetable.
