AAT Level 2 Certificate
The first level of the qualification is predominantly for people with limited accounts knowledge or those working in a limited finance role.
The AAT Level 2 Certificate covers:
- Double entry to initial trial balance stage and includes sales and purchase ledger preparation and payment
- An introduction to management accounting including costing and batch control
- Computerised accounting

This will depend on the student, but we tend to
recommend roughly 6 hours of study per week. You should aim
to finish this level within 6 months. |

Please note all government funded Apprentices must study the 'Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance' unit from Level 3. This must be studied at Level 2, in order to satisfy the Apprenticeship requirements.
New students may be exempt from certain units depending on previous experience or qualifications. When you enrol on an AAT course with Kaplan our assessors will do an initial assessment to help you decide the best level to begin the qualification.
