Management Apprenticeship

Effective managers contribute significantly to the productivity of their team and the performance of any organisation. This Apprenticeship provides aspiring managers with a solid foundation on which to develop their management skills.

About the Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship will enhance your manger’s knowledge and ability to apply relevant management techniques.

On completion of the qualification your manager will receive an NVQ Certificate/Diploma and the Apprenticeship Certificate. They will also receive a Technical Certificate in Customer Service and Key/Functional Skills Certificates (where applicable).

How will your learner be assessed?

  • One-to-one assessor support
  • Online learning modules
  • E-Portfolio of work-based evidence
  • An exam

A formal progress review will be carried out by a Kaplan Assessor within the workplace every 10-12 weeks. This also includes tailoring the training to your business and learner’s requirements.

Suitable job roles

Suitable job roles include: Assistant Manager; Floor Manager; Helpdesk Manager; Line Manager; Section Manager; Trainee Manager.

Employer Responsibilities

As Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes, most of the training is ‘on the job’ at your premises.

To ensure that your learner develops effective skills throughout their Apprenticeship as an employer you must:

  • Provide an induction and on-the-job mentoring and training
  • Ensure you meet relevant health and safety procedures set by Kaplan
  • Pay your Apprentice’s wage according to the national minimum wage
  • Hold regular meetings with your learners throughout their assessments
  • Employ your learner for at least 30 hours per week
