As Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes, most of the training is ‘on the job’ at your premises. To ensure that your learner develops effective skills throughout their Apprenticeship as an employer you must:

  • Provide an induction and on-the-job mentoring and training
  • Ensure you meet relevant health and safety procedures set by Kaplan
  • Pay your Apprentice’s wage according to the national minimum wage
  • Hold regular meetings with your learners throughout their assessments
  • Employ your learner for at least 30 hours per week.
