Edexcel Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma in Management Studies
This course is intended primarily for students who aspire to be first-line managers, aiming to make a career in management. It focuses on underpinning knowledge and practical skills and will provide students with the opportunity to preserve and build upon existing good practice. The course also acts as a stepping stone for higher level academic and professional development. Students are able to study any of our postgraduate qualifications after completing this particular course, including the MBA.
Entry Requirements
Students should possess an Edexcel Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Management Studies, a first degree or another professional qualification. Exceptional candidates without any of these criteria will be considered if they can show that they have suitable management or supervisory experience. Students must also possess an English language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above.
Course Aims and Objectives
This course emphasises the practical aspects of a manager’s development, encouraging critical, clear and innovative thinking about ‘good’ and ‘best’ practice. The course requires students to improve and develop their own distinctive management skills, knowledge and behaviour.
Course Structure
The course has a strategic emphasis, with the focus being on the organisation that each student works for, or an organisation that a student is familiar with. Students study three core modules in addition to six specialist modules.
