CISI Study Packages

Kaplan Financial provides two Certificate packages tailored towards different learning styles and budgets:

Materials and Online

A flexible home study option that allows delegates to study at their own pace and at times that are convenient. It is the ideal option if time, work or financial constraints prevent delegates from attending the course element.

Materials, Online and Course

This option includes all of the materials and online elements plus an exam focussed classroom course.

Distance Learning

Workbooks

 For the Securities and Investment Institute Certificates qualification we provide the CISI official workbooks. We believe that the advantage of these is that they undergo stringent quality assurance processes and they are accurate and up-to-date, in-line with the exam syllabi.

The workbooks are written by investment professionals and trainers with the candidate in mind, using worked examples, self-test questions and revision points. They consist of short, focused paragraphs with numerous graphics and exercises to help delegates learn faster and retain critical information.

The workbooks across all of the CISI Certificate units have been built around Learning Objectives enabling delegates to indentify the key facts they will be required to know to pass the exam.

Key features include:

  • Each section of the workbook is clearly aligned to a learning objective
  • A complete syllabus table that identifies where information can be found on each area is contained within the workbook
  • A comprehensive list of abbreviations
  • Full glossary
  • End of chapter practice questions
  • An examination specification table – a guide to how many exam questions delegates are likely to receive on each area of the syllabus
Practice Exam Book Practice, practice and more practice is key to success in any exam. This is why we have spent so much time developing our practice question banks. Every question is cross checked with the workbook and compiled to reflect the standard and type of questions that delegates will receive in the live exams. A full explanation of the correct answer is given.
Pocket Notes Pocket Notes are portable learning tools that reinforce learning. These are an abbreviated version of the study materials which are great as revision aids or for studying while on the move.

Classroom Slide Pack

 On day one of the classroom teaching element, delegates will be provided with a copy of the course slides to help them follow the key points that are addressed in class. Each pack provides them with a copy of the PowerPoint presentation including diagrams, and space for them to make their own notes. These slide packs are also available online.

 

Live Online

Online Study Guide

In order to help delegates plan ahead, we provide a study guide to allow them to utilise their time effectively.

We recognise that delegates have varying levels of experience of taking exams and different learning styles so we provide examples of ways to study and a ten point plan of how the resources could be used to their best advantage.
e-Lessons

For each unit, delegates will have access to a suite of e-learning modules. These address key areas where we feel extra help will be of value to delegates and assist them to understand, reinforce or recall vital information. The modules will allow delegates to study at their own pace, get feedback on their progress and repeat the module.

  • 10 screens for each lesson

Chapter Questions Chapter questions help delegates build up their knowlege on specific chapter-by-chapter basis
Mock Exams Our online mock exams help delegates practice answering a set number of questions in a time constrained environment.
Test Summary Delegates are able to view a summary of their performance for every test taken.
Test Review This function allows delegates to review their answers to every question and guide them to where the information can be found with the CISI workbooks.
Reports Delegates are able to compare their performance against peers across the different areas of the syllabus. This will help them identify their areas of weakness and provide a guide as to where best to direct revision. This test results are visible to us and a member of our tutor faculty will contact delegates who are struggling and mentor accordingly.
Test History Delegates can view their history of all completed tests including information on when they took them, their scores and the questions they got right or wrong.
Cumulative Report Delegates can view their cumulative scores for all tests taken.
Comparative Report Kaplan Financial understands the importance of providing delegates with support in and outside of the classroom teaching element. This is why we will offer a mentor facility where delegates can contact the tutor faculty throughout their studies. Tutors are available outside of classroom hours to provide delegates with any additional academic help that they may need. This will help identify at an early stage any delegate who is struggling and enable us to give them the support they require to keep on track for exam success. We guarantee that every delegates query will be answered within 24 hours.

Tutors are available outside of classroom hours to provide delegates with any additional academic help that they may need. This will help identify at an early stage any delegate who is struggling and enable us to give them the support they require to keep on track for exam success. We guarantee that every delegates query will be answered within 24 hours.
Classroom Tuition

For those studying the Materials, Online and Course package, there will also be an exam focused classroom course.
