IMC Unit 1 - The Investment Environment
IMC Unit 1 provides students with a basic knowledge and understanding of the UK regulatory environment and the application of the FSA rules as they effect financial markets and the conduct of investment businesses in the UK of markets and of taxation relevant to investments.

IMC Unit 2 - Investment Practice
IMC Unit 2 provides students with the knowledge and understanding of investment instruments as well as an understanding of the construction and management of investment portfolios and a basic knowledge of economics, accounting and statistics (use of exam approved calculator taught in class).

IMC Exam Pre-requisites
The IMC exam is set for individuals working in an administrative or operational role, however no prior knowledge is required. A good grasp of Maths and English is expected.
If new to the industry Kaplan recommends you undertake the 2 day introduction to IMC course which offers an understanding of financial markets and an introduction to the use of the compulsory examination calculator.
