I received text books, practise questions, mock exams and online useful articles. The tutors all provided contact details too for students to ask questions.
How has Kaplan helped you to succeed?
By providing the study materials and knowledge of previous exams and problem areas.
Do you have any advice to Kaplan prospective students?
My advice would be to start early and create a really good and realistic revision timetable with regular time off to see friends and have fun. Also to sit every mock offered by Kaplan because exam practice to time is incredibly useful.

Congratulations on your nomination for PQ magazine's 2011 Distance Learning Student of the Year award. What is it you like about being a Distance Learning student?
Overall I find studying alone quite difficult, but the upside to Distance Learning is that I can pursue my dream of working in South-East Asia whilst getting qualified. I travel a lot for my work and Distance Learning route allows me to study wherever I am and whenever I can.
We hear you use Kaplan Interact (our online community) to help with your studies. Is this something you would encourage other students to get involved with?
I would especially encourage this to Distance Learning students like myself who can feel secluded from the study environment of a college and peers. Kaplan Interact has given me a great tool to be in contact with other students as well as the Kaplan advisors and tutors. Kaplan Interact also allows students to provide advice and opinions on other student problems.

What made you choose Kaplan Distance Learning?
The flexibility and extremely friendly and helpful staff... The flexibility in time and study pace was important to me, and also being able to study outside work hours. Distance Learning is also better suited to the way I study.
The materials are also presented in a very carefully set out way, which often does not happen with classroom learning.
How has Kaplan Distance Learning helped you to succeed?
Well success is anything but here yet, however I am on the way. Without this vehicle it would have been impossible to penetrate the accounting industry from another background.
