The ACCA have launched Foundations in Accountancy - a new suite of accountancy awards for those wanting to start a career in accounting and finance. Why study FIA?

'Foundations in Accountancy' or FIA consists of a suite of awards including Introductory & Intermediate Certificates, Diplomas and a revised Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification. The awards begin at GCSE level, and progress up to first year degree level.

You do not need previous qualifications to study towards an FIA qualification. These awards provide recognised qualifications in their own right as well as a natural entry route into further accountancy qualifications including ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW.

  • For students - the awards provide flexible entry points with certification awarded at each level to develop your education and skills, and make you a more attractive choice for employers.
  • For employers - the range of awards means you can pick the level of qualification which is most appropriate to your business needs.
