Important Syllabus Change! The CAT qualification is now part of the new FIA (Foundations in Accountancy) suite of awards. This means new students who would previously have selected the CAT qualification, are now advised to take an FIA course. FIA still allows you to gain the CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) qualification but the papers you need to sit have changed.

Currently studying CAT?
Students studying papers T1, T2, T3 and/or T4 under the existing CAT qualification can still sit computer based exams under the current syllabus until 27th November 2011. Students should now have received guidance from the ACCA regarding your personal conversion arrangements. Existing students under the CAT qualification will be transferred to Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) on a like for like basis. Details of the changes to the papers are below:
