2 Day Manual Bookkeeping Course

This course is ideal for anyone new to a role in accounts, who needs a basic grounding in the principles of double entry bookkeeping, or as a pre-cursor to studying any formal accounting qualification.

It is intended to offer a flavour of the principles and techniques involved in bookkeeping without too much detail.

The key areas covered will be:

• Understanding how we record transactions
• The accounting equation
• Debits and credits
• Completing day books
• Elements of an income statement and the statement of financial position.

The course will include a mixture of lecturing and explanations, along with worked examples and the opportunity to practice what you have learned by having a go at questions yourself with tutor support.

By the end of the course you will be able to understand how the majority of basic financial transactions get processed and to understand some of the terminology used by accountants.

The course does not lead to any formal qualification or certification.

The current cost of the qualification is £200 including VAT and all materials.
