Online mentoring towards the Research and Analysis Project.
All Kaplan's online mentors are Registered Mentors with Oxford Brookes, and have successfully completed the Oxford Brookes Registered Online Mentoring course which is designed to provide them with the necessary knowledge base and skills development to best support a mentee in their Research and Analysis Project.
All students receive an Oxford Brookes University Approved Research and Analysis Project Guide from Kaplan Publishing, which includes a list of recommended topics for your report and extensive guidance notes on how to conduct your research.
In the evening of the first day of your course, there will be a live online welcome session to introduce you to the learning platform and the essentials of online learning and studying towards the degree. You can access this session from any computer with a broadband internet connection.
You will be able to access a range of recorded videos designed to support you throughout your research project. Topics range from selecting a project title to academic research and presentation skills.
You will be given the opportunity to deliver a presentation on your project to your mentor as well as fellow students in accordance with the Oxford Brookes University’s requirements. This will be conducted entirely online.
All learning materials are accessed online through MyKaplan – Kaplan Financial’s online student portal. In addition, you will also be granted access to the Kaplan University Library for access to a range of materials to aid your research.
