What is AAT?
The term AAT refers to the organisation the Association of Accounting Technicians and the accounting qualification this organisation offers. The AAT accounting qualification provides the theoretical knowledge and practical accounting skills that can be used in your job role. What is an Accounting Technician?
The term accounting technician means someone who has qualified with the AAT. Accounting Technicians work in accounting and finance alongside chartered accountants, in a wide range of jobs from accounts clerks to credit control officers up to financial managers. Once you have gained your full AAT qualification you can also become a full member of the AAT and use the letters MAAT after your name, providing a huge boost to your career prospects.
