Congratulations on successfully completing your AAT qualification! Continuing to train and gain further qualifications is a great way to progress your career and improve your earning potential.
As a qualified Accounting Technician, there are a number of different routes you can consider. You could even be eligible for exemptions from some units, meaning you can gain your qualification even sooner than you might think!

ACCA |
Suitable for those who would like a career in finance, business or accountancy. Completing the qualification means you will become a Chartered Certified Accountant. (Part-time/Full-time) |
CIMA |
At a similar level to ACCA, also aimed at professionals in business or industry, but for those who want to be a Chartered Management Accountant. (Part-time/Full-time) |
ACA (ICAEW) |
Completing this qualification means you will become a Chartered Accountant. ACA (ICAEW) is aimed at individuals working in finance, practice or business. (Part-time/Full-time) |
ATT - Tax |
A specific Tax Technician qualification, giving an overview of the fundamentals of tax in the UK. (Part-time/Full-time) |
ILM (Management) |
Develop your leadership, managerial, coaching and mentoring skills – ILM courses give you the skills needed to succeed as an effective manager. Delivered by the University of Essex Online, in partnership with Kaplan Open Learning. |
Part-time Degrees |
Ideal if you’re looking to move onto a degree programme but need the flexibility to study at your own place and pace. Delivered by the University of Essex Online, in partnership with Kaplan Open Learning. |
Full-time Degrees |
Undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Management, suited to AAT students moving onto a higher level qualification. Delivered in Partnership with Kaplan Holborn College. |
