Why study AAT?

A career in accountancy and finance can be rewarding both professionally and financially. The AAT qualification is a proven route into this profession, both as a stand alone qualification and as a stepping stone to further qualifications.

Career enhancement

Accounting Technicians work at all levels from accounts clerks to financial controllers in all industries and sectors. Whatever your role is you will benefit from studying the AAT to help provide a deeper understanding of why things are done the way they are. Also, as the AAT qualification is so broad, it will give you a great grounding in all aspects of accounting which you may draw on in future roles.

Financial opportunities

Accountancy is one of the few professions where you can reach the highest ranks without a university education. In addition to Finance Directors, many Managing Directors of UK companies are qualified accountants earning well in excess of £100k per year!

Ongoing opportunities

Successful completion of the AAT grants you valuable exemptions from the exams of ICAEW, ATT, CIMA and ACCA. This can significantly reduce the time it takes you to become a fully qualified accountant.
