Team Leading Apprenticeship

Effective Team Leadership is essential to the productivity of your organisation. The Apprenticeship will provide your learners with the skills and attitude needed to perform effectively as a team leader.

About the Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship is designed for both practicing and aspiring team leaders. Your learner will gain a solid foundation on which to develop leadership skills, helping them to motivate team members and achieve their targets. On completion of the qualification your learner will receive a Technical Certificate in Team Leading.

Learners often progress to a higher level training such as Management Level 3 or Accountancy qualifications.

How will your learner be assessed?

  • One-to-one assessor support
  • Online learning modules
  • E-Portfolio of work-based evidence
  • An exam

A formal progress review will be carried out by a Kaplan Assessor within the workplace every 10-12 weeks. This also includes tailoring the training to your business and learner’s requirements.

Employer Responsibilities

As Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes, most of the training is ‘on the job’ at your premises.

To ensure that your learner develops effective skills throughout their Apprenticeship as an employer you must:

  • Provide an induction and on-the-job mentoring and training
  • Ensure you meet relevant health and safety procedures set by Kaplan
  • Pay your Apprentice’s wage according to the national minimum wage
  • Hold regular meetings with your learners throughout their assessments
  • Employ your learner for at least 30 hours per week
