Important – IMC syllabus change
The IMC syllabus is changing from the 1st September 2010, to take into account the revised qualification standards for those working in an investment management retail capacity in the UK. Both units will step up from QCA Level 3 to Level 4. All classroom course delivered by Kaplan from the 1st of September in Edinburgh and London will teach towards the new Level 4 syllabus.
If you are part way through the programme or want to study the IMC QCA Level 3 qualification you must successfully pass both units by 31st August 2010. It is not possible to gain the IMC qualification by passing the units at different levels. We therefore recommend you pass both units in advance, allowing time for re-sits if necessary.
The structure of the qualification will remain the same (i.e. Units 1 and 2) but you will no longer be able to sit the combined Units together as a single exam. The broad content of the syllabus should be similar, but there will be some new areas and some sections tested in greater depth.
