A choice of flexible ways to study

We know that having the flexibility to choose how you study is important; that’s we offer a variety of different ways to study, including Classroom, Live Online, Online or Distance Learning.

Fitting your studies in around your other commitments can sometimes be difficult; that’s why you can choose from a variety of flexible ways to study the AAT qualification:

Classroom Classroom - structured timetable of lessons at 27 centrally located Kaplan training centres, with most centres offering a choice of evening, weekend and now intensive courses.
Live Online Live Online - study from anywhere with the world’s only 100% live classroom experience online.± You can also playback recordings of each lecture.
Online

Online - our totally flexible e-learning course. Every study element is available online so you study when, where and how you want. You’ll also get tutor support throughout your studies.

Distance Learning Distance Learning - a flexible study course at your own pace using our Kaplan Publishing study materials, a wide range of online resources and tutor support when you need it.

Funding your course

You may be entitled to full or part-funded training when studying the AAT qualification through either a Classroom or Live Online course. The funding is available through the Apprenticeship scheme. To be eligible you must fulfil these basic requirements:

  • A UK resident living in England for the last three years
  • 16 years old or over
  • Not currently in full time education
  • Not currently receiving government funding
  • Not in possession of a level 4, or higher, qualification. This includes degrees and HNDs
  • Are working in an accounts related role for 30 hours or more per week

Employers – training your staff

If you’re an employer looking to train an existing or new member of staff then you may be able to receive funding through the AAT apprenticeships programme. More information is available in our Vocational section.
