Knowledge Gap courses

ACCA P4 Booster Course   9.30-16.30

If you are attempting this paper and have not attempted the lower level F9, then this is essential. It will cover all of the fundamental  knowledge which was not included in the old 2.4. Also recommended for any P4 re-sit students.         

Finance Act Update Courses            

F6 Re-sit -  9.30-16.30
Essential for students re-sitting the F6 paper who have not attended a course since the Finance Act update. This important course will explain the impact of the Finance Act upon the exam.        

P6 New -  9.30-16.30
Essential to new students to the P6 Course. As much of the fundamental information from F6 will have changed due to the finance act update, this one day course will explain any changes to the tax rules as this will be assumed knowledge in the P6 course.         

P6 Re-sit -  9.30-16.30
A course for students re-sitting the P6 paper who have not attended since the Finance Act update. This important course will explain the impact of the update upon the exam.

Question-Based Revision

In addition to our Revision courses, our Question based days are an extra tool for students to use in preparation for their exams. Basically this is a full day of mock questions, wherein students are provided with immediate feedback from on hand markers to highlight your knowledge strengths and weaknesses, and also practise your exam technique. These courses run just one or two weeks before your exam so students are able to fully focus their final stage of revision. We have always found that question practice is key to passing this level of exams, and our QB day is perfect practice of this! Time to make mistakes there and get feedback straight away rather than a week later in the real thing.

Of the students who studied with us last sitting - 82% of ACCA students doing all three elements of our courses (Tuition Revision and Question Based Day) passed their exams, 28% higher than the national average!

Summer School

Kaplan Financial Nottingham can offer students in years 11,12 and 13 a week’s programme of activities to prepare for life beyond the classroom.
Students can; Meet some prospective employers, produce a quality CV, practice interview techniques, be introduced to the fundamentals of accountancy and finance, and improve their employment prospects.

The Kaplan Financial Scholarship

This is open to years 11, 12 and 13 students who are considering leaving school and are looking to start a career in accountancy.
The Kaplan Financial Scholarship prize is worth over £15,000 and includes free AAT training followed by your choice of ACCA,CIMA or ICAEW training thereafter.
In addition, Kaplan Financial will use our extensive network of contacts to help you get that all important first job.

To apply; you must be predicted to get a minimum of 5 GCSEs, grade A*-C (including Maths and English). You must also submit an application form which includes a written testimonial from yourself about why you think you should win the scholarship alongside one from one of your teachers.

If you are successful in your area and reach our shortlist you will be required to attend a panel interview from which the winner will be chosen.  All runners up will receive a Kaplan Financial goodie bag, use of our CV service to help you find a job and acceptance onto our summer school programme.
