2011 Business Summer School
July saw Cambridge host its 2011 Business Summer School. Aimed at 16-18 year olds, it provided school leavers with an opportunity to learn about life in the business and accountancy world with a series of challenging and interactive business simulations. Thanks must go to Deloitte LLP, Ensors and Pure Resourcing Solutions for providing careers advice sessions.
Emma Grace one of the winners of the business team challenge (pictured left) said "I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the last 4 days, I have found it really useful and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. These 4 days have gone totally beyond my expectations."
Congratulations to all those who attended and the Cambridge Kaplan Financial team wish them all every success in their future careers.

Student of the Sitting
Each sitting, in association with Pure Resourcing Solutions, we award a prize to the individual that has best displayed the qualities required of an accountancy student in the Cambridge centre.
We are pleased to announce that Emma Palazon of ARM Ltd was awarded the AAT Student of the Sitting prize in June 2010. Emma completed her AAT via evening courses and found the AAT was a useful way to back up her work experience. "I really enjoyed the course and winning this prize is such a surprise". Emma moved onto the ACCA qualification in 2011. Emma is pictured with Tim Howes, centre manager, and David Culley from Pure Resourcing Solutions, the prize sponsors.
