London, 29 November 2007 - The newly released A student's guide to International Financial Reporting Standards (Kaplan Publishing, November 2007) by Clare Finch coincides with the announcement this month that the US Securities and Exchange Commission would drop the requirement for foreign-listed companies to reconcile to US GAAP and allow them to use International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
30 August 2007 - A Malaysian student, Pei Shee Wong, has placed 2nd out of 6,612 students worldwide who sat Paper 1 of the recent Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) exams. She also placed joint 6th on Paper 7, taken by 6,044 students around the world.
